Greetings TKC Students (and a few potential students)!
New cohorts start Sunday! Here is everything you need to know.
Cohort groups start this Sunday January 18 and will run for 8-10 weeks in virtual classroom. You can take as long as you need to finish the class “requirements.”

QUESTIONS AND ENROLLMENT?!
If you have any questions, simply reply to this email and Dr. Ryan will be happy to get back to you in a timely fashion.
There are some that are receiving this email that have been accepted to TKC but have not started their process with TKC yet, this would be an excellent time to start! You are also free to audit one of these classes at no charge and without officially “enrolling” with TKC. Should you decide to join TKC, the class could be converted for credit. You can start classes officially once you return your signed agreement and make a minimum payment of $500. The total amount according to your agreement is due before your degree will be issued.
WELCOME NEW STUDENTS
I want to say a special hello to new students transitioning from the King’s College in New York, and specifically the semitic language students that will be partnering through Harvard University. What an awesome opportunity for you. I love it when things seem dim (king’s college closing), and then God transitions the situation into something amazing like this cohort through Harvard. Every student I have spoken with is so thrilled and never would have pondered the blessings of now being able to be involved with the most renowned Semitic language program in the world. What an amazing picture of Gods provisional plans of grace for his disciples.
We have several AWKNG students that are coming to TKC to finish a higher-level degree. We are happy to have you. As you probably know Dr. Michael Heiser was a good friend of mine at UW Madison. We are thankful for the fruit that is now shown through you.
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE FOR REGULAR COMMUNICATION
If you have not been receiving regular communication from TKC please make sure you have gone to the bottom of the main TKC website page, entered your email address in the box and “subscribed” for regular communication. Follow this link: The King’s Commission School of Divinity
PAYMENTS AND COST
The complete cost for each student is calculated in your student agreement pack. Prices for degree tracts are also listed here: DEGREE PROGRAMS – The King’s Commission School of Divinity
The cost of most Master Level degrees is $3-5000 while doctorate degrees are often $5-7000. Only $500 is required to start and you may make payments at any time on the TKC INVESTMENT – The King’s Commission School of Divinity page. We suggest that you make payments in accordance with your journey. For instance, if your agreement for the total amount is $4000, when you have taken half the classes it would be recommended that you have made half your payments by then. All of your payments need to be paid before a degree will be formally issued. You are also welcome to change your plan or tract with your advisor during your process at no additional charge.
LOOKING BACK
Last semester was incredible! We had 4 TKC cohort groups going and had some great interaction with Dr. John Walton, Brian Zahnd and his prayer school, and several IVP author interactions. Some of you even went to Boston for the 77th ETS Annual Meeting.
TKC ENDEAVORS
Ph.D candidate Dr. R. Victor Gray is currently finishing up a book entitled, “just keep breathing, triumph over tragedy” which he is in project with Dr. Ryan on and will be released under TKC publishing in 2026. Dr. Gray is also transitioning to his dissertation pertaining to the more recent reflections regarding the Shroud of Turin. The ISABQ Symposium on the Shroud of Turin is later this month in New Mexico, if you would like to go, please let Dr. Ryan know. Independent study credit is available for this event.
TKC Publishing is also releasing a Marriage book by Dr. Ryan in 2026. Dr. Ryan has been leading marriage and renewal retreats for almost 30 years. X44 First Fruits Renewal Retreats Dr. Ryan and Dr. Steve will be leading a Marriage renewal weekend over Valentine’s Day weekend in Green Lake, Wi. Registration is closed and the event is full.
Dave Peters is also working with TKC publishing on a series of life memoirs and reflections for his doctoral work.
Dr. Steve Cassell continues to work with Dr. Ryan on a foundational Ministry Book to accompany 6104 Foundations of Ministry class that was offered in cohort last fall. This book is also slated to be published by TKC publishing in 2026.
TKC Partner, Brian Zahnd’s new IVP work, Unseen Existences is scheduled to be out this spring! Expedition 44 will be interviewing Brian through our partner IVP Academic.
Dr. Ryan and Expedition 44 is also continuing our rich partnership with Eerdman’s and is slated to begin a large project involving the next chapter for the NICOT series. We have a window for TKC students to order Eerdman’s books for the next two months at 40% off. Please let Dr. Ryan know if you would like to take advantage of this.
Dr. Ryan’s “This is the Way” series will be available in its entirety later this month through Logos software.
TKC partner, John Bevere is releasing an upcoming book titled “The King Is Coming,” set to be released on March 3, 2026 through Thomas Nelson. This book discusses the significance of Christ’s return and offers guidance for believers to prepare spiritually for it.
INDEPENDENT STUDIES
Many of you have been involved in independent studies through TKC. These range from taking partner classes through EdX, Harvard University, AWKNG, The Bible Project, attending seminars, conferences, or perhaps even attending a mission trip and working with your advisor for credit. TKC is open to nearly anything for independent study. We are considering meeting in Wisconsin to see the Steve Gregg debate on March 6. As it gets closer you will receive more information and could consider this as part of an independent 3 credit study focusing on Steve Gregg’s work. He has been on Expedition 44 numerous times and is good friends with Dr. Ryan and Dr. Matt. Some of you have also had him for lectures through TKC in the past.
The OT Cohort will look forward to meeting with renowned scholar Dr. Mark Chavalas the IVP author of the OT commentary used in the 5002 class.
July 2-5, 2026 is the PCNAK Generation to Generation Conference at Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schamburg, IL USA. John Bevere, from messenger International will be the keynote speaker. John is a parter with TKC. To be clear, this is a Pentecostal conference and not every TKC students “cup of tea.” But the opportunity is here for you.

Closing thoughts
I love short verses that speak volumes. One of these is Psalm 119:97.
מָֽה־אָהַ֥בְתִּי תֽוֹרָתֶ֑ךָ כָּל־הַ֜יּ֗וֹם הִ֣יא שִֽׂיחָתִֽי
How I love Your Law!
It is my meditation all the day.
Psalm 119 is not a collection of disjointed meditations but a carefully unified acrostic poem in which recurring themes are intentionally developed and bridged across sections in faithful rhetoric. This unity is especially evident in the transition from the lamedh to the mem strophes. The lamedh section concludes by emphasizing the permanence and limitless scope of God’s word: while all created things reach completion, God’s instruction endures without end because it is a manifestation of God Himself. As Heschel observes, “No word of God is God’s last word.” Against this theological backdrop, the opening line of mem moves from doctrine to personal commitment through a grammatical and psychological bridge. The opening verb, ʾāhēbtî, is a Hebrew perfect and should be translated, as Alter renders it, “How I loved Your teaching,” rather than the NASB’s present tense, indicating a completed, settled commitment rather than an ongoing emotional state. The poet thus juxtaposes the infinite continuity of God’s law with the decisive finality of his devotion to it, a pattern maintained throughout the verse in the perfect tense (“All day long it was my theme”). The verb ʾāhēb does not denote inner emotion but covenantal commitment, as evidenced by its use in ordinary human relationships and its compatibility with command forms such as Deuteronomy 6:5. Biblical love, therefore, is an expression of willful devotion enacted through obedience and purposeful behavior, grounded in the recognition that God’s torah functions as divine instruction intended for human flourishing and wholeness. As we are all in different seasons of life and ministry, I pray that during your time at TKC you are truly made whole in your academic pursuit of the Revelation of Jesus Christ in and through you. I pray that your daily meditation may bear great fruit to the kingdom bringing heaven to earth.
