Mission Aviation and Global Leadership Program

Integrating Aviation, Theological Formation, and Global Service

The Mission Aviation and Global Leadership Program at The King’s Commission School of Divinity provides a flexible pathway for students seeking to combine aviation training with theological education, ministry preparation, and global leadership.

Students may complete flight training, aircraft maintenance education, aviation management, airport operations, safety training, humanitarian logistics, or other related preparation through qualified outside institutions and training providers. Applicable college coursework, FAA-recognized training, professional credentials, and documented prior learning may be evaluated for transfer toward an approved TKC degree.

TKC does not operate as a flight school or issue FAA certificates, ratings, endorsements, or maintenance credentials. Instead, TKC provides the theological, ministerial, leadership, and academic framework that allows students to integrate their aviation preparation into a meaningful degree program.

An Individualized Academic Pathway

The program is intentionally flexible. Students are not required to follow one predetermined aviation track.

Each degree plan is developed according to the student’s:

Aviation training and credentials
Ministry experience
Professional objectives
Academic level
Long-term vocational calling

Programs may include biblical and theological studies, spiritual formation, missiology, cross-cultural leadership, aviation coursework, professional training, internships, practicums, capstone projects, thesis work, or doctoral research.

The Mission Aviation and Global Leadership Program may be incorporated into approved undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degree pathways. Degree titles and requirements may vary according to the student’s previous education, academic goals, and approved program of study.

The inclusion of an aviation field does not mean that TKC directly provides its technical credential. Students complete aviation training through qualified external providers and submit applicable education and credentials for academic evaluation.

Transfer Credit and Prior Learning

TKC recognizes that significant college-level learning may occur through aviation schools, technical programs, professional training, ministry service, military education, and workplace experience.

Students may submit transcripts, FAA certificates and ratings, professional credentials, training records, portfolios, and other documentation for evaluation. Credit is awarded for demonstrated college-level learning that is relevant to the student’s approved degree and consistent with TKC academic policies.

Graduates of the Mission Aviation and Global Leadership Program will be prepared to:

Integrate biblical theology with aviation, leadership, and global service
Understand the role of aviation within missionary and humanitarian work

Who Should Consider This Program?

This program may be appropriate for pilots, student pilots, aircraft mechanics, aviation managers, missionaries, humanitarian workers, nonprofit leaders, military aviation personnel, pastors, educators, and students exploring aviation as part of their ministry calling.

Students may enter the program while beginning aviation training or after completing significant professional education and experience.

Tuition and Program Costs

TKC is committed to making theological and ministry education accessible and affordable.

$150 per credit hour
$450 for a three-credit-hour course
$4,500 for a 30-credit-hour degree
$6,750 for a 45-credit-hour degree, including thesis work
$7,500 total for Ph.D. coursework and dissertation
$500 graduation fee, including diploma, academic robe, and participation in graduation
$500 ordination certificate, when pursued as an additional credential

External flight training, aviation courses, FAA examinations, medical examinations, aircraft rental, professional certifications, and technical-program expenses are not included in TKC tuition and are paid directly to the student’s chosen aviation provider.
